Long-life Li-SOCl₂ energy combined with pulse support for smart metering, wireless sensors and industrial IoT devices.
The SUNJ ER26500H + EPC1520 is a 3.6V 8.5Ah non-rechargeable hybrid pulse battery pack developed for equipment that operates at low background current but periodically requires higher current pulses. The ER26500H lithium thionyl chloride cell provides long-term base energy, while the EPC1520 pulse capacitor connected in parallel supports short-duration current bursts and helps reduce voltage drop during wireless transmission, data acquisition, alarm reporting or actuator operation.
Multiple assembly layouts are available to accommodate different enclosure shapes, connector requirements and environmental protection needs.
The two components perform different but complementary functions. The ER26500H primary Li-SOCl₂ cell supplies the energy required for long standby periods and normal device operation. The EPC1520 stores energy from the cell and releases it rapidly when the equipment requires a short current pulse.
● ER26500H: long-term energy for standby current, sensing and scheduled operation
● EPC1520: pulse support for wireless transmission, data upload, valve actuation and other transient loads
● Parallel connection: the positive terminals are connected together and the negative terminals are connected together before the output is routed to the wire harness

The existing ER26500H + EPC1520 specification includes eleven mechanical configurations. Their core electrical characteristics remain the same; the main differences are the EPC position, overall dimensions, wire length, connector and encapsulation method.

| Layout Family | Configuration Summary |
| Side-Mounted EPC | The EPC is installed beside the upper section of the ER26500H cell. Options include tinned leads and SM-2P, SMB2, PH-2P or customer-specified connectors. |
| End/Top-Mounted EPC | The EPC is installed above the cell in a vertical or transverse orientation, reducing the lateral footprint while increasing the overall height. |
| Remote EPC | The ER26500H cell and EPC1520 are connected by an intermediate wire section and can be positioned separately inside an irregular or divided enclosure. |
| Encapsulated EPC | The EPC and terminal area are installed at the top of the cell with additional insulation, potting or protective encapsulation for exposed or mechanically demanding installations. |
Environmental-protection note: Potted and encapsulated configurations are available. Any required waterproof or IP protection level must be defined during engineering review and verified on the final approved assembly.

Request a sample or engineering review: Please provide the device model, operating-voltage range, standby current, pulse current and duration, repetition interval, minimum allowable voltage, available installation space, connector, polarity, lead length, operating temperature and environmental-protection requirements.
No. The ER26500H is a primary, non-rechargeable lithium thionyl chloride cell. The EPC1520 is a pulse-assist component and does not make the battery pack rechargeable.
No. The 2000mA value is the maximum available pulse-current capability, not a continuous-current rating. Actual performance depends on pulse duration, repetition interval, temperature, battery condition, circuit resistance and the device's minimum operating voltage.
Yes. These names are commonly used by different manufacturers for the same 1520 pulse-capacitor type. The first letter is used to distinguish the supplier. The final pack assembly, terminal style and connection requirements should still be confirmed before replacement.
Yes. SUNJ can customize the EPC position, wire length, wire gauge, connector, polarity, insulation, potting, labels and related pack details according to an approved drawing or sample.
